Bolgatanga Central CPP Outdoors Parliamentary Candidate

The Bolgatanga Central Branch of the Convention Peoples Party has endorsed Hon. Abdul Rahaman Latifa as its parliamentary candidate for the 2016 parliamentary election.

Her declaration as Bolgatanga central parliamentary candidate for the CPP received massive attendance and support from the party leadership and grassroots.

Speaking at the declaration ceremony at the party’s regional office, she expressed optimism at Convention Peoples Party (CPP) capturing power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) come November 7 2016.

She expressed satisfaction at the massive support she received from party faithfuls and like Oliver twist, asked for continuous support for herself and the party’s flagbearer, Ivor Greenstreet.

Latifa mentioned that she will prioritize improving education with emphasis on motivating teachers, women empowerment and sanitation.

“I want to motivate women to take up leadership roles and become public leaders, health care training will be done, supporting women for small scale business, teaching them business skills and as well as building their self-esteem and confidence.”

On his part, Regional Chairman of the Convention Peoples Party, Hussaini Ibrahim congratulated Abdul Rahaman Latifa for the bold decision she took to contest men in the Bolgatanga Constituency.

CPP communication team leader and Spokesperson for the Young Nkrumaist Movement (YNM) Mohammed Akumbey Jnr, said it was a great pleasure to have Abdul Rahaman Latifa as the parliamentary candidate for Bolgatanga central constituency for the 2016 general election.

He urged the party faithfuls in the constituency to throw their weight behind the only female parliamentary candidate in the constituency to enable her capture power from the NDC come November 7.
