The Assembly members for the Bawku West District on Monday, February 19th, 2024, unanimously confirmed the President’s nominee, Daniel Atampuba, as their new District Chief Executive with 96% of the votes.
Out of the 48 assembly members that were present to fulfill the constitutional requirement, 46 voted “YES” representing 96% and 2 voted “NO” representing 4%.
Mr. Atampuba, before getting his DCE appointment, was a professional teacher and held several positions within the NPP in the constituency, including constituency secretary.
