Scores of ardent listeners of A1 Radio and residents of Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital, thronged the premises of A1 Radio, a subsidiary of Agreed Best Communication Company, to celebrate International Tea Day.

The 2nd edition of the celebration aimed to highlight the cultural and economic significance of tea, its health benefits, and the importance of sustainable tea production.

The event featured a variety of activities designed to educate participants on different types of tea and their respective benefits, as well as some health screening activities undertaken by Eastside Life Hospital, the leading private health facility in the Upper East Region.

There were games also available for patrons.

Some participants who spoke to our reporter, Moses Apiah, expressed their excitement and the value they found in the event.

They shared their newfound knowledge about tea and beverages. One participant remarked, “I never knew Milo’s product mixed with water is a beverage, not tea.”

Another attendee highlighted the added benefit of free health screening provided during the event.

This initiative aimed to underline the health benefits of tea while offering practical health support to the community.

When the General Manager of A1 Radio, William Nlanjerbor Jalulah, spoke on the Day Break Upper East Show today, May 27, 2024, he commended the patrons for turning up in large numbers and promised an even more expansive exercise next year.

Blue Sky Hotel was the headline sponsor for the event. AquaBolga Foundation and AquaBolga Natural Mineral Water were partners for the event. The A1 Radio International Tea Day celebration was supported by Amazing Grace Bakery.
