Two community groups dedicated to the development of vulnerable populations in Builsa South have received significant financial support from their Member of Parliament, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak.

The MP presented a total cash donation of GHC 7,555.00 to the women’s group of Bateusa and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Naadema Primary School.

The women’s group of Bateusa was awarded GHC 3,675 to connect electricity to their Shea butter production house. This connection to the national grid is expected to boost production efficiency and reduce overall costs.

The women expressed their gratitude to Dr. Apaak, acknowledging that the electrification will significantly enhance their operations.

“The connection will not only increase our production but also lower our production costs, making our Shea butter business more sustainable,” a representative of the group stated.

Similarly, the PTA of Naadema Primary School received GHC 3,880 to provide electricity to the teachers’ bungalow. The PTA chairman, Atie Eric, expressed his deep appreciation, highlighting Dr. Apaak’s consistent support for the school.

“Whenever we call on him, Dr. Apaak responds promptly and generously. This donation is another testament to his commitment to our community,” the chairman remarked.

Dr. Apaak emphasized that the donations were in response to requests made by the leadership of both organizations.

He assured the groups of continued and expanded support, contingent on the success of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 elections.

“This is just the beginning. If we are voted into power, there will be much bigger support for your initiatives. We are committed to enhancing women’s activities and adding value to their products to gain international recognition,” Dr. Apaak assured.
