The Upper East Regional Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on Binduri indigenes, both at home and abroad, to rally behind Abdulai Abanga’s re-election bid.
The Youth Wing believes his continued leadership will drive further development and progress in the constituency.
At a press briefing held in Binduri over the weekend, the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini, highlighted the importance of effective leadership in achieving societal progress.
“It is said that society stands still in periods where there is no leadership. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better,” Mr. Al-Khomeini stated. He emphasized that the primary motivation for political leaders should be to bring development to their people.
Mr. Al-Khomeini praised Abdulai Abanga as a standout leader who has consistently seized opportunities to improve the lives of Binduri residents. “If you are looking for one of the finest leaders in this part of the world who has seized every opportunity to change things for the better and, more importantly, to bring development to their people, then look no further than Hon. Abdulai Abanga,” Mr. Al-Khomeini asserted.
He went on to describe Mr. Abanga as the most popular politician in Binduri, noting that his name has become synonymous with progress and development in the region.
“There is virtually no person in Binduri whose life has not been positively impacted by the good works and outstanding achievements of the Member of Parliament. His impact has been felt in every department of life, including education, healthcare, security, sanitation, livelihood support, road construction, community infrastructure projects, and other social support schemes,” Mr. Al-Khomeini added.
The Youth Wing urged all Binduri indigenes to support Mr. Abanga’s re-election to further expand his networks and bring more development to the constituency. They cited his excellent representation in Parliament and his appointment as Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development as evidence of his dedication and capability.
In the healthcare sector, they said Mr. Abanga has made significant contributions, including the construction of several Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds and the provision of essential medical equipment. His efforts in education, they indicated, include building classroom blocks, providing scholarships, and organizing district-level competitions. In economic empowerment, he has supported women’s groups, presented equipment to artisans, and improved market infrastructure, they added.
Mr. Abanga’s work in road and infrastructure development, water and sanitation, youth and sports, rural electrification, security, agriculture, and religious-support schemes have also been highlighted as transformative for the Binduri constituency.
They therefore urged that a vote for Mr. Abanga and Dr. Bawumia is a vote for development, progress, and the realization of the “Binduri Must Develop” dream.
