The Parliamentary Candidate for the Chiana-Paga constituency in the Upper East Region, Robert Aloo, has pledged to collaborate closely with chiefs and opinion leaders to drive community-centered development if elected as their Member of Parliament.

According to him, a Member of Parliament should be a proactive advocate for development, leveraging social capital both locally and internationally rather than relying solely on the common fund.

“A member of parliament ought to be a much-lobbied person as well as able to widen his/her social capital both at home and abroad to realize development, and not to rely on the common funds as most MPs do,” Mr. Aloo stated.

Speaking at an inaugural ceremony in Sirigu, where a new Fire Service Post and Ambulance Station were commissioned, Mr. Aloo assured them that their trust in him would not be misplaced.

He urged them to support his candidacy and that of the Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December 7th elections.

“Place your faith in me by voting for me and our Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he appealed, expressing confidence in their collective ability to bring about meaningful change.

He assured the community that significant progress had been made toward repairing the damaged Sirigu-Zorkor bridge, a crucial link for local transportation and economic activities.

The inauguration of the new Fire Service Post and Ambulance Station in Sirigu marks a significant milestone in enhancing emergency response capabilities in the region.

The facilities are expected to improve safety and provide timely assistance during emergencies, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
