The Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region, Andrew Asungiiba Atariwine, has praised the mid-year budget presented to Parliament by Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam.
He lauded the budget for its focus on fiscal responsibility and debt sustainability, noting that it did not introduce any new taxes.
According to Atariwine, this approach reflects the government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable members of society.
In an interview on A1 Radio, Atariwine explained that the decision to refrain from imposing new taxes during challenging economic times was a deliberate effort to ease the financial burden on citizens.
“The budget presented by the Finance Minister shows the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and sustainable debt management. This is crucial for the country’s economic stability and growth,” he stated.
He pointed out that the government has prioritized social welfare programs aimed at protecting the most vulnerable populations.
“The government’s focus on improving the living conditions of the vulnerable in society is commendable. This includes increasing funding for social protection programs and ensuring that essential services are accessible to all,” Atariwine noted.
He further stressed that the budget offers a clear path towards economic recovery and growth.
He urged Ghanaians to support the government’s initiatives, which aim to stabilize the economy and create a more inclusive society.
“This budget brings hope to Ghanaians. It shows that the government is listening to the concerns of the people and is taking concrete steps to address them,” he said.
He called on all citizens to support the efforts of the government and work collaboratively towards the country’s shared goals.
“We all have a role to play in building a better Ghana. Let’s support the government’s efforts and work together to achieve our common objectives,” he urged.
