NDC’s SADA failed to provide tangible development – Dr. Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has once again criticized the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), a project introduced by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

During his Constituency Focus Tour in Binduri, Upper East Region, Dr. Bawumia questioned the tangible benefits and specific projects that SADA delivered to the people of the North.

Dr. Bawumia asserted that despite the project’s significant financial outlay, amounting to millions of dollars, the initiative failed to deliver meaningful development.

“Not even a toilet was built under that project,” he stated, alleging that the funds were misappropriated by party loyalists, including former President John Mahama, for personal gain.

He further ridiculed the project, saying it resulted only in the rearing of a few guinea fowls, which he described dismissively as merely “flown to Burkina Faso” or suitable for “light soup.”

Addressing the people of Binduri, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of making informed choices in the upcoming elections. He urged them not to vote for the NDC, arguing that the party has historically failed to provide substantial pro-poor interventions, especially those targeting rural and community growth.

He assured the people of his commitment and that of his party to implementing policies designed to improve their livelihoods, especially in the area of agricultural innovation.
