Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Anthony Namoo, has emphasized the importance of collaboration between parliamentary candidates and their constituency executives, stressing the need for regular meetings to enhance performance.
Noting that Bongo remains the only seat in the area that NPP has not yet won, he expressed optimism about their chances in this constituency. “I believe that everybody has a chance. Even Bongo, we have a chance.” He added, “I am mentioning Bongo because Bongo is the only seat in this area that the NPP has never won.”
He acknowledged that the party’s progress has been hampered by ongoing issues but remained hopeful about future successes.
In regard to the presidential elections, he urged voters to choose a candidate who would have a longer period to serve rather than electing someone who doesn’t have maximum time in office.
“If the trophy is coming to the North, you have to give it to somebody who will be there for a long time.”
He explained this by saying the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, would have eight years to serve, while former President John Dramani Mahama would have four years to serve, hence his appeal to vote for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
