It is worth noting that this website called an article highlighting a passionate plea from the Chief of Manyoro, Pe Clement Atudipare.
He had called on the government and benevolent organizations to urgently assist in reroofing parts of the Manyoro Basic School, which was severely damaged by a rainstorm on June 10, 2024.
The A1 News Team recently revisited the school to assess the situation as the school year approaches its reopening on September 10.
In an interview with Chief Pe Clement Atudipare, he explained that DCOP Raymond Adofiem responded to the news and took action to reroof the school.
He said, “When the school was damaged by the rainstorm, we cried out for help. Our brother and father, who is the regional police commander here in the Upper East, came to our aid. Your report reached even the national level, prompting others to call and promise to renovate the remaining classroom blocks. We are very grateful for the report you published, which led to this success.”
A1News also contacted DCOP Adofiem, who stated that Manyoro Primary School is his alma mater. Upon hearing the news, he felt compelled to intervene and restore the classroom block to ensure that teaching and learning could continue.
