Rex Asanga, the Municipal Chief Executive of Bolgatanga, has emphasized that the upcoming December 7th general election presents a stark choice for Ghanaians: to move forward with progress or slide backward into regression.
According to Mr. Asanga, a vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) represents a step forward for Ghana, while a vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be a step backward. He therefore urged citizens to carefully consider their decision, emphasizing that the fate of the nation hangs in the balance.
Speaking to Joshua Asaah on the “Zina Yela” show, the Bolgatanga MCE said, as the country prepares for the crucial polls, which will determine the direction of Ghana’s development trajectory, he believes the NPP is the right path.
“This coming 2024 election is one where Ghanaians will either take this nation forward or take us backwards. In order for our nation Ghana to move forward, we need to vote for Alhaji Bawumia as President and also vote for Figo as MP. But if we want Ghana to move backwards, it’s voting for the NDC as usual.”
Mr. Asanga’s assertion highlights the high stakes involved in the election, with the NPP campaigning on a platform of continuity and progress, while the NDC promises change and a new direction.
The MCE also called on the people of Bolgatanga Central to give the NPP the opportunity to win the parliamentary seat and bring the needed change to the constituency.
