Rockview Hotel, located in the Gorogo community along the Bolga-Tongo main road, is set to enhance local tourism and provide job opportunities in the Talensi area. According to Tijani Yakubu Ndanyenbah, a financial and investment consultant, legal practitioner, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hotel, the hotel’s development, which began as a concept in 2009, took 15 years to bring to fruition.

Despite initial skepticism about establishing a hotel in a village setting, he highlighted the tourism potential of the region, citing attractions like the Tongo shrine and Tongo hills. The decision to build the hotel was driven by the need for quality accommodations for visitors wishing to experience the area’s natural beauty and cultural richness. “When we wanted to start this hotel, people wondered why we wanted to build it in the village. But there’s a reason for that. Now that the district has tourism potential like the Tongo shrine and the Tongo hills, and considering the way of life of the people, we thought, why not establish it here?” he said. “Apart from creating jobs, boosting the tourism aspect of the district was also a major aim.”

Mr. Ndanyenbah noted that Rockview Hotel features a unique fish-like architectural design, offering 14 air-conditioned rooms, including standard and executive options. The facility also includes a dining hall and a conference room that can accommodate up to 200 guests, equipped with modern amenities for various events. “We have 14 rooms now, including standard and executive options. All the rooms are air-conditioned. We also have a dining hall and a conference hall with a seating capacity of about 200, complete with a projector and other amenities.”

To ensure comfort during power outages, the CEO stated that the hotel is equipped with a solar backup system, allowing guests to enjoy a serene atmosphere. “At Rockview, when there’s a power outage, you have no reason to worry because we have a solar backup system for our electricity needs.”

Mr. Ndanyenbah emphasized the commitment to excellent service, stating that the staff is dedicated to meeting guests’ needs, whether through direct service or outsourcing. “Even if we cannot provide something directly and need to outsource, Rockview is always ready to ensure that our clients have nothing but the best and will have minimal complaints about our services,” he said.

He added that the hotel offers a variety of local and international dishes and plans to launch a 24-hour restaurant for the general public in the near future. Mr. Ndanyenbah also expressed a broader vision for the district, aiming to position Rockview Hotel as a key player in promoting local tourism and economic growth. “For now, we tailor our restaurant to our guests. However, we will soon launch a 24-hour restaurant for the general public. We have a bigger vision for the whole district,” he added.
