Rockson Bukari, the former Upper East Regional Minister and Minister of State, has called on the people of Bolgatanga East Constituency to reconsider their support for Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area.

Mr. Bukari questioned Dr. Ayine’s developmental legacy after 12 years in office, urging voters to consider a new candidate, Mathew Silas Amoah, as the best option for the constituency’s growth.

In an exclusive interview at his residence, Mr. Bukari emphasized that political leaders should be evaluated based on their tangible achievements rather than their rhetoric.

“It’s not about long speeches that bring development. Dr. Dominic Ayine should know that, and he should tell us what his legacy in the constituency is after 12 years as MP,” Bukari remarked.

He challenged Dr. Ayine to present the developments he has brought to Bolgatanga East, suggesting that the MP has not delivered enough to improve the lives of his constituents.

According to the former Minister of State, Dr. Ayine has failed to address critical developmental challenges, despite holding office for over a decade.

He dismissed the E-Block school project, often cited as one of Ayine’s key achievements, as merely a “compensation” rather than a testament to genuine effort.

Turning his focus to Mathew Silas Amoah, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Bolgatanga East, Bukari described him as a youthful, energetic leader with a clear vision for the constituency.

“Silas Amoah is someone who understands the needs of the people. Besides being a young man, he also has Bolgatanga East at heart, unlike Dr. Ayine, who is not only an old man but has also failed on several occasions to bring tangible development to the area,” Bukari argued.

Mr. Bukari further urged women and the youth of the constituency to support Amoah, expressing confidence that the young politician has what it takes to uplift Bolgatanga East.

He highlighted Amoah’s development-oriented ideas and commitment to transforming the constituency.
