The flagbearer of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Asana Nabla, has expressed strong discontent over her disqualification by the Electoral Commission (EC).
Madam Nabla, who was disqualified for failing to rectify errors on her nomination form, voiced disappointment and blamed the EC Chairperson for what she described as an unfair process.
Speaking on A1 Radio, she stated that while she would not pursue legal action in court, she believes a higher judgment awaits the EC Chairperson.
“I have left everything to God,” Nabla said during the interview. “Those behind this disqualification will not have a clear conscience.”
Her comments reflect growing dissatisfaction among political stakeholders regarding the perceived lack of transparency in the EC’s vetting process, which has led to multiple disqualifications across various political parties.
Madam Nabla’s disqualification comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding the election process, with critics accusing the EC of bias and failing to ensure fairness.
The PNP flagbearer has called for the removal of the EC Chairperson, stating that her actions have undermined the democratic process.
She also revealed plans to continue staging demonstrations with her supporters until the EC Chairperson steps down.
