The parliamentary candidate for the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the Talensi Constituency, Dr. Michael Wombeogo, has expressed confidence in winning the parliamentary elections in December. He believes the support he has received indicates a strong possibility of victory.

In an interview on A1 Radio, Dr. Wombeogo emphasized the importance of collective effort, stating that while he doesn’t have all the solutions, collaboration with the people of Talensi can lead to significant progress. “I am not the panacea to all issues, but together with the people of Talensi, we can reach great heights. That is my promise.”

He highlighted his commitment to transparency and effective governance as essential to meeting community needs. “I have some of the answers. I’ve shared them, but they have not been implemented. I am saying it’s time for me to take charge and implement what is best for the people of Talensi.”

Addressing local challenges, he pointed out the shortage of teachers in schools and proposed employing university graduates as pupil teachers to bridge this gap, thereby creating job opportunities. “There are schools where you won’t find teachers. They could employ university graduates who are without jobs as pupil teachers, but this isn’t being done. This is an avenue for job creation in Talensi.”

Additionally, he identified job creation potential through the area’s mining activities and pledged to support young entrepreneurs by providing startup capital to foster self-employment. “There are many self-employment opportunities that young people can pursue, but they lack capital. When I become a Member of Parliament, I will provide startup capital so they can create their own jobs and even employ others.”

Dr. Wombeogo remains confident that his vision for Talensi resonates with the electorate, who are seeking tangible solutions rather than mere promises.
