The African University College of Communications (AUCC) has honored Moses Apiah of A1 Radio for his outstanding achievements in journalism following his wins at the 3rd Upper East Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.
Mr. Apiah, an AUCC alumnus, was celebrated for his exceptional contributions to journalism, earning him the titles of “Most Promising Journalist of the Year” and “WASH Reporter of the Year” at the GJA Awards. Additionally, he was named “Best Media Personality of the Year” by the Ghana Tourism Authority in the Upper East Region.
AUCC’s management and staff expressed pride in Apiah’s accomplishments, noting that his success reflects positively on the institution. In appreciation, they presented him with a citation commending his dedication and impact on the media landscape. Apiah’s achievements, they said, underscore the quality of training and values instilled in him during his time at AUCC.
Mr. Apiah was recognized alongside three other distinguished AUCC alumni excelling in journalism: Beatrice Senadju Boateng of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Stanley Nii Blewu of Media General, and Philip Teye Agbove of the Fourth Estate.
Each honoree received a citation from the university, presented by AUCC President Professor Abeku Blankson. Prof. Blankson emphasized that this recognition reflects AUCC’s commitment to producing skilled and impactful media professionals. He stated, “AUCC management and staff proudly congratulate our alumni and students honored at the 2024 GJA Awards! Their dedication and achievements inspire us all. Join us in applauding Beatrice Senadju Boateng, Stanley Nii Blewu, Philip Teye Agbove, and Abaa Moses Apiah for their remarkable contributions to journalism.”
