In an effort to strengthen educational supervision and support in the Binduri constituency, Abdulai Abanga, Member of Parliament (MP) for Binduri and Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development (LGDRD), has donated eight motorbikes to the Ghana Education Service (GES) School Improvement and Support Officers (SISOs) in Binduri.
These SISOs, previously known as Circuit Supervisors, play a crucial role in monitoring teaching standards and educational progress within the constituency.
The motorbikes, presented on behalf of Abanga by District Chief Executive (DCE) Ayinga Yakubu at a ceremony held at the District Assembly forecourt, are part of the MP’s “Operation 1 SISO, 1 Motorbike” initiative.
This initiative aims to equip each SISO with reliable transportation to enable them to conduct regular school visits, monitor teachers, assess school resources, and provide critical feedback to improve the overall quality of education in Binduri.
Speaking at the presentation, Yakubu reaffirmed Abanga’s unwavering commitment to education, noting that the MP views education as a key pillar for the development of Binduri.
“The motorbikes will significantly aid in the accessibility and efficiency of the SISOs, who are instrumental in ensuring that schools in Binduri maintain high educational standards,” said Yakubu.
The donation aligns with Abanga’s broader mission of servant leadership and dedication to community development as he continues to work to improve essential services in his constituency.
Through this effort, the MP hopes to create a more supportive environment for students and teachers alike, ultimately raising educational outcomes across Binduri.
