The state-of-the-art computer lab is set to serve all nine schools within the Sherigu community and beyond, providing students with access to modern technology and digital resources. The initiative seeks to bridge the digital divide and enhance the learning experience for both students and teachers in the area.
Equipped with modern computers, tablets, and internet connectivity, the Loozeele Resource Center Computer Lab offers a conducive environment for learning and skill development. The facility will support various programs, including computer literacy training, access to online educational resources, and digital skills development.
Teni Agana, the Managing Director of the Loozeele Resource Center and the visionary behind the project, expressed her unwavering commitment to giving back to her community.
“I believe that education and technology are key drivers of development, and I am proud to contribute to the empowerment of my community,” she stated.
Madam Agana emphasized that the lab would also support the youth aspiring to further their education and women engaged in entrepreneurship.
With the backing of donors and partners such as the MasterCard Foundation and Ashesi University, Madam Agana also operates a private school in the community, serving 400 students. The head teacher of the school, Ayamga Johnson Asoah, highlighted the challenges students faced learning ICT without access to computers.
