Upper East Regional Minister Donatus Akamugri Atanga has issued a strong call for unity and constructive contributions to the region’s development, warning against divisive behaviors such as backbiting and the “pull-him-down syndrome.”

Speaking at a gathering of party faithful at his residence, the Minister emphasized his commitment to fostering a collaborative environment focused on progress rather than personal agendas.

Mr. Atanga, who was warmly welcomed back to the region by scores of supporters, stressed the importance of envisioning and cultivating ideals that drive development.

He urged residents and stakeholders to shift their focus from individual interests to collective growth, stating that the region’s advancement depends on unity and shared purpose.

“I will not entertain backbiting or negativity,” he declared. “What I seek are positive contributions that will propel the Upper East Region forward.”

The Minister’s remarks come at a time when the region faces numerous developmental challenges, including infrastructure deficits, unemployment, and limited access to essential services.

Mr. Atanga acknowledged these issues but expressed optimism that, with collective effort, the region could overcome them.

He called on community leaders, political actors, and citizens to work together, emphasizing that progress requires a united front.

His stance against divisive politics and his focus on development align with broader calls for accountability and collaboration in addressing regional challenges.
