In a landmark election held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Mr. Stanley Akamiri Abopaam was elected as the National President of the Technical Universities Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG).
Mr. Abopaam secured a decisive victory, winning by a 75% margin, to assume leadership of one of the most influential unions within Ghana’s technical university education system.
His election marks a new chapter for TUSAAG, as he prepares to steer the association’s affairs for the next three years.
A renowned social advocate and the National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of BONABOTO, Mr. Abopaam brings a wealth of experience to the role. His extensive background as a labor unionist, coupled with his strong social capital, is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the union’s objectives.
TUSAAG, which represents senior administrators across Ghana’s ten technical universities, has long been at the forefront of advocating for improved welfare and working conditions for its members. With Mr. Abopaam at the helm, the union is expected to intensify efforts in addressing critical issues such as fair remuneration, professional development, and enhanced administrative support within the technical university system.
