The international branch of Terabuuriyele, a non-profit and non-partisan organization committed to preserving and promoting Frafra culture, has donated essential medical equipment to the Upper East Regional Hospital to support healthcare delivery in the region.

The donation, made on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, includes 22 blood pressure monitors and 22 infrared thermometer guns, aimed at boosting the hospital’s capacity to serve patients efficiently.

Speaking during the presentation, the National Chairman of Terabuuriyele, Mr. Simon Ayariga, said the gesture is part of the association’s broader humanitarian efforts to contribute to national development, particularly in the health sector.

“This donation reflects our commitment to supporting our communities through tangible action. We believe quality healthcare is a basic right, and we are proud to contribute to its delivery.”

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Madam Justina Ayoribila, expressed heartfelt gratitude and noted that the equipment would significantly enhance service delivery.

“We are grateful for this timely support. These items will go a long way in helping us provide better and more efficient care to our patients.”

Also present at the ceremony was the Chief of Zaare and Acting Bolgatanga Municipal Chairman of Terabuuriyele, Chief Bombiga Asana Agoo. He voiced concern over the gradual erosion of Gurune culture and revealed plans by the association to establish a cultural museum.

“Our culture is our identity. We are working towards setting up a museum that will safeguard and showcase the rich Gurune heritage for future generations.”

The donation reaffirms Terabuuriyele’s dual commitment to cultural preservation and community development.
