The Concerned Youth of the Upper East Region has postponed its peace walk, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, May 10, 2025.

The peace walk was part of broader efforts to call for calm in Bawku and to urge warring factions to choose peace in order to promote development in the area.

Originally planned to take place in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital, the event has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 24, 2025.

The coordinator for the event, Emmanuel Adongo Anderson, shared this update during an interview with Ibrahim Aziz on News Link.

He stated that the Ghana Police Service had directed a change in the date of the event to accommodate certain security concerns identified through police intelligence.
