Deputy Minister of Education inspires candidates as BECE begins today

The Deputy Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has delivered a heartfelt message of encouragement to candidates sitting for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

In his address, Dr. Apaak acknowledged the significance of the examination as a critical milestone in the students’ academic journey, commending their dedication and the unwavering support of their families and teachers.

Dr. Apaak emphasized that education goes beyond merely passing exams. “It is about molding confident, responsible, and capable citizens who will contribute to building a better Ghana,” he stated. Urging candidates to approach the exams with focus and self-assurance, he encouraged them to trust in their preparation and avoid shortcuts. “Let your hard work speak for itself. Integrity is the foundation of true success,” he added.

The Deputy Minister also highlighted the government’s commitment to equitable education under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and the guidance of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. He reiterated the Ministry of Education’s resolve to ensure that every Ghanaian child, regardless of their background or location, has access to quality education. “You are the reason we invest in schools and refine policies. You are the future we are nurturing,” Dr. Apaak affirmed.

His message concluded with a rallying call for courage and pride, wishing the candidates success in their exams and beyond.

As thousands of students across the nation sit for the BECE, Dr. Apaak’s words serve as a powerful reminder of the collective belief in their potential and the pivotal role they play in Ghana’s development.
