The Assembly Member for the Zorko Awaah Electoral Area in the Bongo District, Atanga Martin Aloga, has expressed profound appreciation to the Member of Parliament for Bongo Constituency, Lawyer Charles Bawa Duah, for his swift and impactful intervention in reroofing several schools affected by a recent rainstorm.
The Awaah Primary School was among nine educational institutions that benefited from the MP’s school rehabilitation initiative. The project was launched following a devastating rainstorm that hit the Bongo District three months ago, leaving several school buildings roofless and disrupting academic activities.
“So, first of all, I would like to thank the MP for Bongo, Lawyer Charles Bawa Duah, for coming to our aid. We really appreciate his support. May the good Lord give him wisdom and strength to continue supporting the entire Bongo constituency and help rebuild the Bongo we all envision,” Mr. Atanga said.
Speaking to the media during the MP’s visit to the Awaah Primary School, the Assembly Member emphasized how the storm had severely impacted the school, bringing teaching and learning to a halt. He noted that the reroofing of the school block has restored a safe and conducive environment for students and teachers alike.
“We are very happy because now our children can sit and learn in comfort without fear of the rain. This has brought real relief to parents, students, and teachers,” he added.
In addition to Awaah Primary School, other schools that benefited from the school roofing project in Bongo District include: Leenbiisi-Moshidabooro Primary School, Tankoo Primary School, Tankoo Junior High School (JHS), Dua Yikene Primary School, Rev. Father Lebel Primary School, Zorkor Senior High School (SHS), Beo Boko Primary School and Wagliga CHPS Compound
This educational infrastructure rehabilitation in Bongo underscores the MP’s commitment to improving basic education in rural Ghana, especially after natural disasters. Lawyer Charles Bawa Duah’s timely intervention has been widely praised by community leaders, educators, and residents.
