The NDC Ladies Force in the Upper East Region has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable children by donating essential items to the Center for Child Development Orphanage Home in Bolgatanga.
The donation included food items, clothing, and other necessities to aid the orphanage’s efforts in providing shelter, care, and emotional support to children in need.
During the donation ceremony, the Founder of the NDC Ladies Force, Mauricia Adaabre, stated that the act was not merely a gesture of charity but a symbol of unity, love, and shared responsibility.
“As we gather at the Center for Child Development Orphanage Home, under the Catholic Diocese, we are reminded that the true spirit of humanity lies in how we care for our children, especially the vulnerable among us. This home is not just a shelter—it is a symbol of hope, and we are honored to support it in any way we can. Let us continue to uplift one another and carry this spirit of compassion wherever we go,” she said.
The Center for Child Development Orphanage, under the Navrongo–Bolgatanga Catholic Diocese, serves as a safe haven for children deprived of parental care and support. Mrs. Adaabre stressed that caring for orphans and vulnerable children is a collective societal responsibility.
The items donated included maize, rice, biscuits, soft drinks, soap, liquid soap, washing powder, toilet rolls, clothing, shoes, and other essentials. Ms. Adaabre extended special gratitude to Hajia Najat Azu, the Women’s Organizer of the France Chapter and Patron of the NDC Ladies Force, for her unwavering support from abroad.
“A special thank you goes to Hajia Najat Azu, our dedicated Women’s Organizer of the France Chapter, the Northern Regional Queen Mother, and Patron of the NDC Ladies Force. Your unwavering support from across the seas has touched lives here,” she added.
Scholastica Azubire, a caregiver at the center, expressed appreciation to the group for their kind gesture and called on other individuals and organizations to support the orphanage, stressing that the growing number of children in their care requires continuous aid.
