Cardinal Namdini Mining rejects baseless allegations against employees

Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited has swiftly dismissed allegations leveled against two of its senior employees by a pressure group known as the Talensi Mining Communities Initiative (TAMCI).

In a petition dated 30th August 2025, TAMCI demanded the dismissal of Maxwell Wooma, the Community and Social Responsibility Superintendent, and Emmanuel Kofi Adusei, Community and Social Responsibility Manager, accusing them of sidelining qualified community members of Talensi in the company’s recruitment processes.

The group further alleged that the two men only employed non-indigenes of the Upper East Region, most of whom it claimed were sympathizers of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

But the mining firm has described the accusations as “unsubstantiated, and lacking credible evidence.” In a response signed by Qi Xuanya, Vice President of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, the company said the claims were carefully reviewed and found to be without merit.

“We want to clarify our position regarding the allegations made against our employees. Our company operates under strict ethical guidelines and legal requirements. We take all allegations seriously, but we cannot act on claims that are unsubstantiated or lack credible evidence. Investigations have concluded that the allegations against our employees are unfounded,” the statement read.

Cardinal Namdini reiterated its commitment to fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in its recruitment processes, stressing that employment opportunities at the mine are open to all qualified Ghanaians, including members of the Talensi district.

The company also urged stakeholders, including advocacy groups, to channel grievances through legitimate platforms of engagement rather than what it termed as “unverified petitions that only seek to sow disunity.”
