Friends of Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Man Bitters, have donated GH¢6,000 to support the ongoing construction and operation of a passport office in Bolgatanga.

The passport initiative is being spearheaded by ALAGUMGUBE, a local social group dedicated to promoting development within the Upper East Region.

According to the group’s leader, Albert Azongo, the donation reflects not only Mr. Borketey’s long-standing commitment to the region’s development but also his continued effort to align the Happy Man brand with projects that create meaningful community impact.

“This gesture underscores the CEO’s consistent passion for contributing to the growth of our region. It also demonstrates our group’s commitment to promoting the Happy Man brand by linking it with initiatives that bring real change,” Mr. Azongo said.

The Bolgatanga Passport Office project, which has attracted strong community interest, is being funded primarily through individual and institutional donations. The project aims to bring passport acquisition services closer to residents of the Upper East Region, eliminating the need to travel long distances to Tamale or Accra.

Happy Man Bitters, through its network of friends and supporters, has now joined the growing list of organizations and individuals backing the initiative.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the project committee, Mr. Gabriel Agambila expressed gratitude to the donors and the Happy Man Bitters family for their generous support.

“This contribution is a major boost, and we remain optimistic that with more of such support, the passport office will soon become a reality,” Mr. Agambila said.

He also appealed to corporate bodies, individuals, and development-oriented groups to emulate the example and contribute toward the project’s successful completion and operation.
