The Member of Parliament for Talensi, Daniel Dung Mahama, has presented improved seeds worth over GH¢60,000 to farmers in the constituency.

Originally, the distribution focused on pepper and onion seeds, but cabbage seeds were later added to the initiative. The NDC’s Constituency Communication Officer, Michael Nangena, disclosed this during an interview on the Day Break Upper East Show on Wednesday.

“My MP did the symbolic presentation yesterday, but today, a team that has been put together to advise the MP on agriculture-related matters will be distributing the improved onion and pepper seeds,” he explained.

He added that “per the briefing I had, he is even adding cabbage seeds and distributing them to farmers engaged in dry-season farming.”

Mr. Nangena emphasized that the total cost of the initiative exceeds GH¢60,000, highlighting the MP’s commitment to supporting agricultural development in the constituency.

“That is how much the MP, Daniel Dung Mahama, is giving to farmers in the constituency,” he stated.
