Journalists interested in covering the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections are expected to apply for accreditation from the election management body from today October 31 to November 7.
A statement signed by the commissions Head of Communication, Eric Kofi Dzakpasu said “the commission wishes to announce that it will from Monday,31st October to Monday 7th November 2016 accept applications from media houses who are interested in observing the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.”
The statement further mentioned that the media houses will however pay a yet to be disclosed amount for the accreditation tags and will be given to only media houses that applied for.
“Accreditation tags will be given to only those who have formally applied for it and for a fee to be determined by the commission.”
“Any request submitted after the deadline of 7th November, 2016 will not be considered,” the statement said.
