The manager of Asakia Hawawu Hanaan, the Upper East Regional representative and first runner-up in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant, Jonas Yinbil, popularly known as “Mr. All Correct,” has described the journey as both challenging and rewarding.

In an interview with A1 Radio, Yinbil shared insights into the demanding yet fulfilling process that shaped Asakia’s performance throughout the competition. He revealed that behind the glamour of the national stage was extensive preparation, research and teamwork.

“I would say it’s amazing. It’s challenging, but the challenge comes with excitement when you are able to overcome it,” he said.

According to him, the early stages of the competition were particularly difficult due to the rainy season, which made it hard to gather information and resources needed for Asakia’s presentations. The team often traveled under harsh conditions to consult key individuals and verify cultural and historical details.

“Sometimes it’s not even easy getting the information because most of the information is not something you can Google. You need to know who to go to. Especially during the early stages, when it was raining, sometimes I had to go through the rain to see someone, listen, come back and put the information together,” he explained.

Despite these challenges, Yinbil said the experience was deeply rewarding. He credited a dedicated team of 12 people who worked tirelessly to support Asakia, helping to develop scripts, refine concepts and ensure that the Upper East Region was represented with authenticity and pride.

“I must say it was a very solid team — the 12 disciples — a solid team of 12 who constantly put everything together to come up with very good scripts that she would embody and represent the region really, really well,” he said.

Yinbil emphasized that the difficulties they encountered only fueled their enthusiasm, especially as they witnessed Asakia’s remarkable growth and outstanding performances on the GMB stage. He noted that her passion, determination, and success kept the team motivated.

“So I would say the experience has been good. It’s been challenging, but we were in for it. Especially when you have a sister who is doing so well, you don’t feel the pain of going through any challenge. So it’s been amazing,” he added.
