Musician CP Adangsua, born and raised in Navrongo in the Upper East Region, has released a new gospel single titled “God’s Love,” inspired by a motor accident that claimed his mother’s life several years ago.
Adangsua, who survived the crash, said the experience reshaped his faith and redirected his artistic journey from secular music to gospel.
“This song was inspired by a past motor accident I had with my mother a few years ago, which I lost my mom on the spot,” he said. “God showed His precious love by taking her to rest and giving me another chance by shining His light in both ways.”
The single, produced by Master Khen, was released on October 25 and is available on all major digital streaming platforms.
Before pursuing gospel music, Adangsua performed Afro-pop and hip-hop and released an album titled “Son of Paul (SOP).” He believes his transition reflects a spiritual mandate.
“I think this gospel thing is really a calling because I used to do worldly music… but I decided to go gospel and inspirational only,” he said.
He added that early public reaction to “God’s Love” has been overwhelming.
“The reaction to the song is crazy,” he said. “People call to say how spiritually touched they are. One woman called crying and singing to the song, saying the song is powerful.”
Adangsua says he hopes the single will strengthen listeners’ faith and remind them of God’s protection, even in moments of grief.
