Visionary Buluk, a local NGO in the Buluk area, has taken up full sponsorship of this year’s female football league, part of the build-up to the 2025 Feok Festival. The sponsorship comes after organizers faced difficulties securing funding for the tournament.

Speaking on the motivation behind the decision, Visionary Buluk founder and CEO Ernest Alaazy said the move aligns with the organization’s core mandate. “As an organization that promotes women’s empowerment and inclusivity, we saw this as an opportunity to push our message,” he said.

He emphasized the role of sport in shaping young girls’ aspirations, adding, “Aside from being an opportunity to create fun, it lays a foundation for younger ones to dream big.” Alaazy also highlighted the disparity in sporting sponsorships, noting that female leagues often receive little or no support compared to male counterparts.

“It is easy to obtain sponsorship for male leagues, but the story is different when the tables turn,” he said.

Visionary Buluk will sponsor the entire league, including prizes for all participating teams. Organizers say the league will add color to the Feok Festival build-up while promoting youth development, community engagement, and inclusion, marking a renewed commitment to women in sports within the Buluk area.
