New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Bolgatanga Central, Rex Asanga has conceded defeat.
Mr. Asanga in a statement congratulated Isaac Adongo, member of parliament-elect in the just ended elections for his victory while wishing him well in his tenure as MP for Bolgatanga Central constituency.
He expressed his gratitude to executives and members of the elephant party for the mandate given him to contest the parliamentary election.
The statement further thanked his friends, church members and family members for their prayers and support offered him during the electioneering period.

The parliamentary results for the Bolgatanga central constituency are out and I want to once more congratulate my good friend, Hon. Isaac Adongo for having won the elections fairly. The people of Bolgatanga have spoken and we in the N.P.P. respect their verdict. I wish him the very best during his tenure, as the member of parliament.
I want to cease this opportunity to thank the almighty God for his irrevocable show of Love, guidance and protection.
I as well wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to My party, the great NPP and all our Regional and constituency executives for having given me the opportunity to run as parliamentary candidate. It was both humbling and a great honor done me. I wish to thank all our party faithfuls for their unbelievable sacrifices of time and effort. We might not have won the seat we sought for, but thanks to our efforts, the elephant family in the constituency this time round is much stronger and more formidable.
I again wish to express my profound gratitude to my Church, friends and well wishers for their prayers and support in kind. God richly bless you.
My last thanks goes to my family and most especially my wife and children for their unflinching dedication and pieces of advice throughout this race. May God sustain us all to see greater days in the not too distant future.
