The Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency in the Bawku West District, Ebenezer Alumire Ndebilla, has assured residents of communities yet to be connected to the national electricity grid that effective and coordinated plans are far advanced to address the challenge.
According to the MP, sustained lobbying efforts are underway to ensure that unserved communities in the district are connected to the national grid, a move expected to improve livelihoods and stimulate local economic activity.
He emphasized that access to electricity remains critical to development, particularly for rural communities that continue to lag behind.
Beyond rural electrification, Mr. Ndebilla disclosed that his development agenda also prioritizes the rehabilitation of deplorable road networks, the expansion of health care facilities, and the provision of decent and comfortable classroom infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning outcomes for children in the constituency.
The MP gave the assurances during a tour of several communities, including Kopella, Zeogo, Boya-Kpalsako, Boya, Gbantongo, Kamega, and Yelwoko, where he interacted with residents and community leaders to better understand their needs.
Mr. Ndebilla expressed appreciation to the people for the confidence they continue to repose in him and the National Democratic Congress, as well as in former President John Dramani Mahama.
He reiterated that the party remains committed to reducing the economic burden on Ghanaians through prudent economic management and by ensuring that essential social amenities are brought closer to the people.
The MP was accompanied by key constituency executives, including the vice chairman, communication officer, organiser, deputy women’s organiser, two executive members, and staff from the Office of the MP. The district chief executive later joined the delegation during the visit.
Residents welcomed the assurances and called for swift implementation to improve living conditions across the district.
