Pastor Eastwood Anaba, Chairman of the Governing Council of Four Rivers International School in Bolgatanga, has announced that the school management will no longer admit learners who arrive after 7:30 a.m.

“If you bring your child after 7:30 a.m., the gate will be closed,” he stated.

He emphasized that discipline is a fundamental part of a child’s upbringing and insisted that such values must be inculcated into young learners.

Pastor Anaba, who is also the President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries (EAM), made these remarks prior to delivering a sermon titled “The Son of Old Age” at Desert Pastures, a branch of Fountain Gate Chapel in Bolgatanga.

The announcement follows an incident where several parents and children were locked out after management enforced the decision to close the gates promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Pastor Anaba noted that if learners fail the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), the school’s management is often held responsible.

“You don’t blame the parent, and you don’t blame the child; it is the school you blame,” he said.

He emphasized that management would continue to implement strict disciplinary measures to reflect the school’s unique blend of Christian values and academic excellence.

Pastor Anaba advised parents who arrive late to take their children back home rather than leaving them unattended at the gate. “So, if you happen to arrive and the gate is closed, simply take your child back home,” he said.
