The Bolgatanga East District Assembly has handed over several project sites to contractors for the start of key development projects funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund. The disclosure was made on Tinmaalgo Sanga on Bolga FM with the District Chief Executive, Jacob Abugre Aka-Eri.
The projects cover health, education, water and sanitation. They include a CHPS compound at Kantia, 17 completed boreholes, additional boreholes at various stages, two KG blocks under construction, a completed ICT Centre with a mechanized borehole, and an NHIS office nearing completion.
Mr. Aka-Eri says the projects are aimed at addressing the pressing needs of the people. He also spoke about the opening of roads in the district and the Kolaa bridge section of the Bolgatanga-Bawku road.
According to Mr. Jacob, the projects, which are funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund, are aimed at improving service delivery across the municipality.
