Regional and constituency executives of the Upper East National Democratic Congress (NDC), along with some Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), have visited the family of the late Joseph Akasaka Abaa, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo, to express condolences.
The delegation, led by the two regional vice chairmen, the Bongo Constituency Chairman, and the Dean of MMDCEs, met with the bereaved family in the early hours of Monday, February 23, 2026 to mourn the untimely passing of the DCE, who also served as Bongo Constituency Secretary.
Family members were assured of the party and government’s support in giving Hon. Akasaka Abaa a befitting burial. This was contained in a post shared on Facebook by Jonathan Abdullah Salifu, Upper East Regional Communication Officer.
