Management of Agreed Best Communications Limited, operators of A1 Radio and a1radioonline.com, hereby retracts a story published on April 26, 2020, captioned “FRAUDSTER ON G.E.S PAYROLL BUSTED AND INTERDICTED” about Mr. Zumah Baba, also known as John Yaro.
Following his acquittal and discharge by the High Court 1 in Bolgatanga on July 16, 2024, and his subsequent reinstatement and promotion by the Ghana Education Service, we acknowledge that the publication may have caused distress and harm to his reputation, family, and career.
Management has no cause to be proud of that story, for which reason the story has since been pulled down from our website, a1radioonline.com. We unreservedly apologize to Mr. Zumah Baba, his family, and all affected persons for any inconvenience and trauma the publication may have caused.
We urge all other websites that reposted the said publication on their websites to also pull down the story from their pages as a matter of fairness.
Management, however, wishes to congratulate Mr. Zumah Baba on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Director of Education, after the High Court 1, presided over by Justice Charles Adjei Wilson, acquitted and discharged him.
