The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has declared that no Member of Parliament in the Upper East Region has outperformed him in terms of constituency development.
According to the MP, the numerous projects he has undertaken across the constituency speak for themselves, despite criticism from some quarters that little development was taking place in the constituency.
Mr. Adongo made the remarks while interacting with the media during a tour of completed and ongoing projects in the constituency.
The tour covered several projects, including classroom blocks, maternity wards, CHPS compounds, culverts, police stations, nurses’ accommodation facilities, and grinding mills spread across communities in the constituency.
“At the start of unveiling several projects I have done for the constituency, I’m here for about four days, and during those days, I will take the media around the constituency, and you will end up understanding that there is no MP in Upper East who has developed his constituency better than Hon. Isaac Adongo,” he stated.

He explained that his style of leadership focuses more on delivering projects than publicizing them.
“Because of the way I work, I only talk in Accra. In my constituency, I don’t talk, I deliver. So, because of that, people think that nothing is happening, but today, up to the end of this period, you will see a lot is happening,” he added.

The Bolgatanga Central MP further disclosed that his office had so far provided dozens of boreholes to communities across the constituency to address water challenges.
“Only in this electoral area, Sumbrungu-Anateem, we have counted 10 boreholes that I have developed for the people. By the end of this exercise, I would have delivered 105 boreholes to the people of Bolga. And this is not something I’m promising, it is something I have already delivered,” he stressed.
Mr. Adongo also announced plans to begin a major road project in the constituency, revealing that contractors had already mobilized equipment to the site.
“We will be cutting sod on Saturday to begin the construction of the Ojam Road to the Kalbeo facility. That will be the start of the redevelopment of a lot of our roads,” he said.
According to him, the first phase of the project would cover a 6.9-kilometre stretch, with plans to lobby for additional resources to expand the road network in the constituency.
