Former NPP Upper East Regional Communications Officer Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga has pledged his support for newly elected Regional Communications Officer Dr. Samuel Akonga and the party’s communications team as the New Patriotic Party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Ayinbisa, who contested the position, said he personally called Dr. Akonga shortly after the Electoral Commission officially declared the results to congratulate him on his victory.
He assured the newly elected communications officer of his support and commitment to strengthening the party’s communications machinery ahead of the next general elections.
Mr. Ayinbisa also congratulated the other newly elected regional executives and wished them success as they assume their respective positions.
While acknowledging that the outcome of the election was not what he and his team had expected, he said he respects and trusts the decision of the delegates.
He expressed appreciation to delegates who supported his candidature and thanked them for believing in his vision.
Mr. Ayinbisa also thanked his campaign team, supporters and well-wishers who continued to encourage and support him throughout the campaign, including during the nearly three months he was away.
He said their dedication, encouragement and commitment inspired him and kept his campaign going until the close of polls.
Mr. Ayinbisa reaffirmed his commitment to the NPP and pledged to continue contributing to the party’s efforts to win the 2028 general elections.
