The Upper East Regional Women Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam Fawzia Yakubu Abagnamah, has wished all Women Organizer aspirants in the region’s 15 constituencies the best of luck ahead of the party’s constituency elections scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
She has urged delegates to turn out in their numbers to elect capable, dedicated and hardworking women to lead the party’s women’s wing at the constituency level.
In a press release issued on Friday, October 23, Madam Abagnamah commended the aspirants for their commitment and determination during weeks of vigorous campaigning across the constituencies.
She expressed hope that the elections would produce leaders who would contribute to strengthening the women’s wing and improving the party’s electoral fortunes.
Madam Abagnamah also called on all aspirants to demonstrate peace, tolerance and mutual respect throughout the electoral process, stressing the need to prioritise the collective interest of the party over personal ambitions.
“Regardless of the outcome, we must remember that we belong to one party and share a common goal of building a stronger and more united NDC,” she said.
She reminded delegates that voting would begin at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m., urging them to arrive early at their respective voting centres to exercise their franchise.
Madam Abagnamah further called on party members to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly to ensure a smooth, transparent and successful election across all 15 constituencies.
She wished all aspirants the best of luck, expressing hope that the process would produce leaders who would serve the party and its members with humility, integrity and dedication.
“Together, let us strengthen the NDC women’s wing and build a stronger party,” she added.
