Martin Aka-eeri Ayamga has been retained as Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency after winning the party’s constituency elections held on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Mr. Ayamga polled 730 votes to defeat his challenger, Roger Ayine Aposs, who secured 603 votes, according to the certified results provided by the Electoral Commission.
The election, which began at about 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, extended until midnight on Sunday, October 25, following a dispute over alleged over-voting in the Youth Organizer race. The issue reportedly delayed the process for more than two hours before it was resolved.
