A1 Radio will be launching three social programmes on March 1, 2017, towards the commemoration of the Ghana’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Station will use the opportunity to also unveil a giant trophy and medals to be presented to winners of the Independence Day Inter-School live Radio Quiz.

The three programmes are a Clean-up Exercise, Mega Gospel Rock Show and album launch and an inter-School Quiz.

On Saturday, March 4, staff and loyal listeners of A1 Radio will join ZoomLion, the Sanitation Department of the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly and the Assembly member of Gumbisi Zongo- (Olicoco) and its residents, to clean the entire community which has over 500 households. Gumbisi Zongo is in the heart of the Bolgatanga Municipality and cleaning that area will definitely have an impact on nearby suburbs of the Municipality.

On Sunday, March 5, the general public will be invited to the Redemption Assemblies of God Church for a Mega Gospel Rock Show to thank God for how far he has brought our country. The same event will see the launching of a Gospel Album, “ADONAI” by Kofi Asante aka Worshipper, a Presenter at A1 Radio. The event promises to be a blast. Artistes lined up for the event, including Hannah Marfo, have promised to perform like never before.

On March 6, A1 Radio will carry the Independence Day Parade and other activities live; members of the public will get the opportunity to wish the country and the leadership well at the sidelines of the Parade programme which will be Climaxed with the Independence Day Radio Quiz at the Catholic Social Centre from 10:00 am to 12:00noon.

A 1 RADIO BOUQUET FOR GHANA @ 60 CELEBRATION

Competing schools in the final of the A1-Radio Inter-Schools Live Radio Quiz are Central Lyceum Junior High School-Bolgatanga, Fountain Gate International School, Grace Valley Academy and Mount Sinai Education Complex.

Sampson Wunia of the Events Department of A1-Radio said the programmes are all good for the Municipality and will also create the platform for A1-Radio to come face-to face with its listeners and clients, and interact with them on how to serve them better in the coming years.

According to him the Clean-up Exercise is the Station’s contribution to the Independence Day celebration and towards mobilizing the people of the Municipality for frequent clean-up exercises so as to be able to meet Sustainable Development Goal which talks about “fighting poor sanitation”.

Mr. Wunia assured that Management will work hard to ensure that all three programmes are repeated every year, but mentioned that the Clean-Up Exercise will be done more frequently in different suburbs of the Bolgatanga Municipality.

The Assembly Member for the Gumbisi Zongo Electoral Area, Yussif Fuseini is happy with the initiative and assured the readiness of residents to ensure a successful Clean-Up on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
