The Northern regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bugri Naabu has rendered an unqualified apology to the Upper East regional minister, Rockson Bukari.

In the apology letter addressed to lawyers of the Upper East regional minister, Bugri Naabu said: ” I write to sincerely and unreservedly retract wholly my comments about your client in an interview I granted Accra-based Radio XYZ. I note, most regrettably that those rather unfortunate comments have since Monday, May 8 gained wide publicity and may have implication for an ongoing trial in the High Court”.

He mentioned that his comments was a slip and not intended to denigrate the Upper East regional minister adding that he called the minister to render an apology just after his interview.

He indicated that he does not have evidence to back his allegations leveled against the Upper East regional minister.

When a1radioonline.com spoke to the lawyer for the Upper East regional minister, Samson Anyenini Lardi, he confirmed his outfit had received the letter but he was yet to have any verbal conversation with Bugri Naabu.
The apology became necessary after Bugri Naabu alleged that Upper East regional minister was the mastermind behind the murder of the NPP’s Upper East regional Chairman, Adams Mahama Monday when he was interviewed on Accra-based Radio XYZ.
