Actor John Dumelo has apologised for his infamous post on Instagram on Saturday which sought to ridicule a KNUST graduate who sells bread for living.
The post has been widely criticized by users of social media and some section of Ghanaians who thought John Dumelo could have done better than looking down on the hard work of a University Graduate who has been empowered to start his own business venture.
His post angered New Patriotic Party sympathiser and musician, Kwame A Plus who started a campaign to get his (John Dumelo) delete the post and render an apology to the young man who has been identified as Kwaku Vito O. Boateng and the CEO of A1 Bread; a company that employs over 200 people.
John Dumelo was forced to pull the post and has subsequently apologized for his conduct.
In his apology, the actor mentioned that the conduct was unlike him. He accepted he had fouled by rendering an apology to all hawkers on the street trying their best to earn a living.
He promised to join street hawkers on an unannounced date to have a first-hand experience of what they go through to put body and soul together.
