New Binduri District Gets First DCE

Mr. Daniel Akologo Adoliba the president ‘s nominee for confirmation as District Chief Executive for the newly created Binduri District was massively voted for and sworn in on Friday as the first District Chief Executive for the district.

All seventeen assembly members voted for Mr. Adoliba to obtain a hundred percent of the votes cast. Mr. Adoliba after he was sworn-in called on members of the assembly to come together to ensure that the reasons for which the Binduri District was created by the government is realized.

He also called for the support of government, donor agencies, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and traditional authorities to support the development efforts of the country.

Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, Upper East Regional Minister, who was present, called on the assembly members to leave their differences and come together for the development of the newly created district.

He charged the newly sworn in District Chief Executive to put party factions aside and work together with the people of Binduri in order to fight the common enemy which he said is poverty, illiteracy and disease.

Mr. Daniel Syme, Deputy Upper East Regional Minister was the acting District Chief Executive for the Binduri district, until the swearing-in of Mr. Adoliba as the DCE.
