The Union of May Borns (UMABO) has made yet another significant donation to mothers and children at the Upper East Regional hospital as part of its annual celebration. Speaking on the sidelines of the donation, Vincent Asigre, President of UMABO said the essence of the donation is to increase the membership of the Union by telling the mothers of these children that, their children born in May are special and unique and no matter the circumstance, should be properly taken care of.

“We are looking at how we can increase our numbers; May Borns are so unique that, we needed to come and congratulate mothers who delivered in May and to get them to know that, the Union is interested in the growth and development of its members including the newly born. As they grow it is our hope that their mothers will inform them about UMABO. Our intention is to reach out to so many people, but for now it is the maternity block that we are donating to.” He said.
