The District Chief Executive for Bongo District, Peter Ayinbisa has disowned aspirants in the Constituency vying for various positions in the New Patriotic Party.
There are several aspirants who are reported to be using the names of some bigwigs in the party including the District Chief Executive’s name to lure delegates to their camps.
But speaking to A1 Radio’s Samuel Mbura on the station’s flagship programme, Daybreak Upper East, the Peter Ayinbisa indicated that he is not supporting any candidate and that they should desist from using his name during their campaign.
He said he is willing to work with any executive that emerges as winners of the election in order to win the Bongo Parliamentary election in 2020.
“In party election and even general elections, people use the image of some big people in the party as a means to get votes. I know people are using my name and they should put a stop to that. I don’t support any candidate in the elections. However, I am ready to work with any crop of executives that win the election in order to work towards taking the parliamentary seat for the NPP in 2020.”
