Mr. Bukari expressed worry over the repercussions hate and lies, which are synonymous with internal elections, could create if not curtailed.

Speaking at the Regional Annual Delegates Conference on Saturday, Mr Bukari said the surest way members of the elephant family could help President Akufo Addo propel his agenda of developing the country is to stay clear of such acts and let unity prevail even after the elections.

On the election of regional party executives, the “Action man” implored delegates to elect aspirants who will serve and work closely to increase the representation of the New Patriotic Party in Parliament in election 2020.

Minister for Information and National Representative at the Upper East regional Delegates Conference, Dr mustapha Hamid, encouraged the delegates to postively channel their anger and frustrations through their votes and do away with divisiveness in the party.

He added that instances where party sympathizers redraw their commitment to the party after their candidates lose out in internal elections should be put to stop.
