Boniface Gambila appointed Acting CEO of NDA

The former Member of Parliament for the Nabdam constituency in the Upper East Region, Boniface Gambila Adagbila has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority (NDA).

The Board of Directors of the Northern Development Authority, chaired by Dr. Hakeem Wemah has announced the appointment of Mr. Gambila by the Appointing Authority as the Acting CEO of the NDA effective 1st April 2021, for the next 1-2 months whilst a substantive Chief Executive Officer is found.

Mr. Gambila until his appointment was an active Board Member of the Northern Development Authority whilst providing cutting-edge consultancy services in corporate governance, leadership, and organizational change management processes to several organizations in Ghana. 

He comes with a wealth of experience in diplomacy, capacity strengthening, and performance management including the use of Balance Scorecard Integrated strategic management which deals with productivity and performance for effectiveness and efficiency in delivering tangible and impact-oriented corporate outcomes.

Mr. Gambila who is a consultant and a politician was the former Member of Parliament for the Nabdam Constituency from 2013 – 2016, the Upper East Regional Minister (2005 – 2007); Principal Trainer with the Volta River Authority (2010 – 2012); Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme (2002 – 2005) among others. 

He is currently the Ambassador-Designate for Burkina Faso. He is an alumnus of the University of Manchester’s Institute for Development Policy and Management and the University of Ghana. 

It is expected of Mr. Gambila to help restructure and reposition the Northern Development Authority to deliver on its core mandate.
